I just realized an interesting motif just a moment ago in the literature I'm reading at the moment. Thematically, all deal with 'lost girls.'
i just finished LADY CHATTERLY'S LOVER, PUSH: A NOVEL (which the movie PRECIOUS is based on), I'm about to start reading LOOSE GIRL: A MEMOIR OF PROMISCUITY, and after that ALICE IN WONDERLAND, UNHOOKED: HOW YOUNG WOMEN PURSUE SEX, DELAY LOVE AND LOSE AT BOTH, and Sarah Ruhl's play called THE CLEAN HOUSE.
My subconscious is totally 3 steps ahead of me. I'm feel like I'm getting closer and closer to writing my next play. . .It's been cooking for months now. Just waiting to cross over the pond!
A digestion of Lady Chatterly and Push are coming very soon. This is because I've decided not to just read anymore. If I want to zone out, I'll watch TV. Every piece I read, or engage in, I want to reflect on, build on, learn from, immerse in, and soak up.
